About me
Background, attitude and tools in brief.
I head software development at a company in Krefeld, Germany. The company increasingly maps its processes with its own software instead of relying on external standard solutions for everything. I accompany and am responsible for this development technically and organisationally.
This includes the concept and development of internal business software, the further development of an ERP system with various modules, the digitalisation of manual workflows, the automation of recurring tasks, the integration of existing systems and data sources, as well as architecture, deployment and operation. Some solutions combine software with physical hardware.
What interests me is the whole workflow: who does what, where friction and duplicate work arise, and what a tool looks like that people actually use. Alongside my employment I take on projects for other companies; capacity is available.

What drives me
- 01
Workflows that do not run smoothly
When three departments send the same information back and forth by e-mail, I want to know why – and then build a tool that makes the question obsolete.
- 02
Responsibility for the whole
As head of development I decide not only how something is built but also what gets built first and what better not. That forces me to take the departments’ point of view seriously.
- 03
Software you can touch
A Raspberry Pi at reception, a digital inspection at the truck, a contact folder on the company phone: I like software best where it meets the physical workday.
How I work
- 01
Process first
Before any code, I understand the workflow with the people who run it every day.
- 02
End to end
Concept, frontend, backend, integration, deployment and operation from one hand, without handover losses.
- 03
Maintainable
Solutions that are still understandable in two years and can be extended.
- 04
Honest
No promises that cannot be kept technically. A clear no beats a quiet failure.
