Starting point
Around 50 guests were to share photos and videos in one evening, with poor mobile reception, no app installation and no account. Nothing was allowed to get lost.
Goal
A web app that works reliably under real conditions and delivers all originals to the couple in the end.

My role
Everything: concept, backend, frontend, operation on a small server.
Implementation
Resumable uploads with tus so interrupted transfers continue. Live gallery via SignalR, challenges with placeholders for other guests, admin dashboard with ZIP export in parts, automatically generated highlight video via ffmpeg. Operated with Docker and Caddy on a VPS with one core and two gigabytes of memory.
Result and benefit
Ran the whole evening without failure. 219 uploads from 29 guests, 13 days of uptime without restart, load test with 150 simulated guests passed.
